Broad training structured around periods of progessive load stress applying the overload principle. Periodization training are organized by macro-, meso-, and micro- cycles.
Macro refers to a year long or season of training and competing and it encompass of eight to ten meso- cycles of four to six week blocks. Each meso- cycle is about 4 to six week period of overload training followed by a simple and light, active recovery workouts.
Each meso- cycle will focus on a specific goal, for example sprinting, agility, endurance, etc.
